A 100 megawatt (MW) wind power plant has been commissioned at Kutch in Gujarat by Adani Wind Energy Kutch Three Ltd (AWEKTL) which is a unit of Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL). In a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges, the company informed that the commissioning was five months ahead of their schedule.

The plant has a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) of 25 years with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) at ₹2.82 per kilowatt-hour (kWh). In early trades on BSE, AGEL stocks traded flat with a marginal loss of 0.05% at ₹1,170.50 on Monday. The company informed that over the past 12 months this is their fifth renewables project commissioned ahead of time. With the commissioning of this unit, Adani Green’s total operational wind generation capacity has been upgraded to 497 MW, whereas the total operational renewable energy generation capacity for the company is now upgraded to 3,345 MW.

The company informed that AGEL has a total portfolio of 14,815 MW capacity of renewable energy, of which 11,470 MW are conferred and are at different stages of implementation. The company spoke that they have added a total of 800 MW of renewable capacities in the last 12 months despite the challenges of the Covid-outbreak.
