During a media interaction, Mohanty stated, "Although there is a significant number of corporate enrollments, the participation from employees is comparatively lower." The subscription from corporate entities observed a growth of approximately 31 percent year-on-year. As of July 1, 2023, the total number of subscribers across various schemes under the National Pension System reached 65 million, indicating a rise of around 20 percent compared to the previous year. Out of these, 130 million subscribers were registered under the national pension scheme. The total pension assets managed by the system amounted to INR 9.7 trillion as of July 1, 2023, demonstrating a growth of roughly 30 percent year-on-year. Mohanty mentioned, "The corpus is expanding significantly, and we are close to reaching INR 10 trillion. Currently, the corpus stands at around INR 9.8 trillion, including both the APY (Atal Pension Yojana) and NPS."

Mohanty emphasized the attractiveness of the National Pension Scheme due to its low cost. Additionally, he disclosed that a systematic withdrawal plan will be introduced in October. This plan will allow NPS subscribers to gradually withdraw 60 percent of their contributions after retirement until the age of 75, replacing the current system of one-time withdrawal.
